We would like to introduce you our first mobility week of the project Business throughout Europe in the frame of the program Erasmus+ Key Activity 2.
It was held in Nový Jičín in the Czech Republic. We welcomed foreign students from France and Slovakia at our practical secondary school EDUCA.
The project Business throughout Europe is focused on establishing three fictitious companies with a different target in different European countries, through the mutual cooperation of schools. The participants of the project are groups of second-year students who will work on setting up a business, create a business plan and at the end they will check of its functionality for two-year period.
The first mobility week started on Monday 27 of November and finished on Friday 1st of December 2017. For all participants of the project were prepared a lot of activities. Let´s have a look of these photos.
At first we were warmly welcomed at EDUCA practical school by an executive director Mrs. Lidmila Kramolišová, a headmaster Mr. Jan Císař and also by our Erasmus+ project administrator Mrs. Šárka Nedělová. Mrs. Nedělová introduced the whole project and the schedule and target of our fist mobility.
Welcome meeting continued in Nový Jičín Town Hall. It was very pleasant for all of us. The representative of international relations Mr. Ondřej Syrovátka welcomed us in English and notified all interesting facts, history and places in Nový Jičín. We received gifts, for example book about the town and lot of others.
Also he invited us to enjoy the town view from the tower. It was amazing.
After that we provided the town tour for our foreign friends. They could see the square, the museum of hats or exposition of General Laudon.
Next day we started our program with presentations of our countries. As you can see in the pictures it was full of interesting information and we absolutely loved it. It was for all of us the first opportunity to present something to someone. We all were full of stress. But we managed it! And we are thankful for that.
Beside the presentations we also tried to get know each other more and moreer. The most difficult part for us was to pronounce and remember the new names of the others. French, Slovak and Czech names are really different. So we played games such as “get-to-know-you” and so on. It was really fun. All the time we communicated in English. We enjoyed it.
After this fun part of the day, we presented again. This time the Czech students had a presentation of running business in the Czech Republic and also about their fictive company what they already made. Wau.
Later, we had a workshop. We tried to get more information about business. Also we cooperated and worked together on our project website which is www.erasmus-ka2.eu.
For our website and the whole project, we also selected a logo through the logo competition. Every school made one design and through the competition we choose the best one.
The winning design was made by French students. Congratulation.
Beside all these actions at school we also had an Educational Excursion to Tatra Trucks company in Kopřivnice town. The company is a big employer in the region and worldwide trucks producer. We visited the Museum of Tatra as well. The excursion was really interesting and full of new information. We really enjoed it.
Later, we moved from Kopřivnice to a scenic old village named Štramberk. We visited the Trúba Tower, the entre of the village and the local brewery.
In the evening we played bowling and enjoyed caraoke night with all students. It was very good and we deepened our international friendship.
Really interesting for us was a meeting and discussion with business representatives from the Moravian-Silesian region. We welcomed the owner of Dynamic Group company Mrs. Kateřina Haring, the owner of rehabilitation centre Mrs. Anna Mikšíková and the owner of MIXA VENDING company Mr. Miroslav Mixa. We had many questions about their businesses. It was very enriched for us to meet this kind of businessmen. Thank You.
After that we had other presentations about our schools, Erasmus+ programme and so on.
Also there was prepared for us a very interesting quiz about European Union which you can try on our websites. We had to answer the questions about history, geography, main information and lot of others about the EU. We absolutely enjoyed it.
Thanks to the Business throughout Europe first mobility week we had all meetings and communications in English, we could compare our ideas about fictive companies and the work on our business plans, got information about running business in other countries, had really interesting discussions with significant and successful businessmen from our region, we improved our language skills, met new friends, enjoyed the excursion to the production company, visited interesting places, worked on interesting topics.
Thank all of you
